Biography

Intrepid traveler with a sense of humor and wonder best describes Karen Hamlin. Her travels infuse culture and history into her stories that are about the people as much as the land.She is a regular contributor to magazines and newspapers
including: LA Times,BoatUS Magazine,Fairfax County Times, Bonita Living, Florida Travel & Life, the Beacon, Fairfax county Times,TWI and UMagazine.She is currently producing and hosting a radio show in DC titled RoundTrip.

Karen was awarded First Prize in the 2003 and 2004 NATJA writing competition for Cruises and International Destinations.She is a member of Washington Independent Writers.
