In addition to managing her website, Carole pursues a variety of freelance travel writing and photography interests. She also maintains a schedule of public speaking engagements based upon her past and personal travel adventure accomplishments and planned global challenges.

Broadcast Journalism

Carole has spent the past several years as national travel correspondent on "America's Dining and Travel Guide", a syndicated radio program on the Business TalkRadio Network and Lifestyle TalkRadio Network. Her radio broadcasts have provided a forum to promote new worldwide destinations and travel activities.

In 2002, she received the travel broadcasting award in the NATJA awards competition for her co-anchoring of a Detroit travel radio show.

Carole's articles appear and can be accessed on her online travel magazine website, an integral part of www.TravelSite.com. Interested readers can also find her articles at Travelworld International Magazine, www.travelworldmagazine.com/contributors and SoGoNow at www.SoGoNow.com. It should also be noted that destination marketers have already become aware of the site's increase in audience.

Photography

Selections of Carole’s outstanding photos appear on her website, www.travelSite.com. There are also photographs accompanying her articles. Carole's photographic abilities have been featured in several photographic exhibitions in Detroit such as her participation in the Detroit Focus event of world photography. She is the owner of Carole Herdegen Photography, a registered company in Michigan.

Public Speaking

Because of her extensive experiences in world travel adventures, Carole has accepted invitations to speak to audiences ranging from womens clubs to student audiences. Further, to round out her travel activities, Carole has filmed, edited and produced short film documentaries on foreign cultures and world wildlife that she uses as visuals in her presentations to audiences, clubs, organizations, schools and television interviews.

New Travel Directions

Plans are well underway for Carole to branch out and organize exclusive tours to Bhutan and India for small groups of travelers. With over 20 years of travel experience in these countries, she now represents a Bhutanese tour company as well as an Indian company and plans to advertise exclusive itineraries.

Personal Mission Statement

“I believe exposure to the many world cultures and geographical destinations while experiencing many different aspects of human activities provides me with a wealth of personal experience and subject material for my broadcasting, writing, photography and public speaking.”

Carole resided in Europe (London, Berne, Frankfurt, and Dublin) for 18 years and has traveled to 61 countries and all 7 continents.
