NATJA Lunches new Community, Website.
NATJA is launching the New NATJA community and website this coming Thursday, August 27th. Based on Member input about what would best serve their needs, the new site is designed to be both comprehensive and current. It will allow the NATJA community to benefit from direct Member postings of content regarding activities, developments, business opportunities and travel journalism generally. The site represents almost a year of development with multiple refinements to take advantage of suggestions from NATJA Member beta testers.
Public and Member-only views. The new NATJA website has two distinct views, one for the general public and a private, password-protected view which much greater functionality and detail that is for Members only. We hope our new design will greatly enhance and facilitate the Member experience.
In the member-only view, both media members and organizational members will find many new features and tools that are designed to help your business and make being a member of the New NATJA community enjoyable and profitable. Some of these tools are new, some are upgraded. Additional features can be added to meet Member needs. We will be writing to you periodically about the many new features and provided tips and tutorials to help you take full advantage of the advanced tools and techniques that will help you reach your goals more quickly and easily.
We encourage you to browse both the public view and the Member-only view.
In the Member view, you will find,
• Enhanced publicity and networking opportunities;
• New portfolio and gallery display tools to promote your work;
• New on-line professional development tools to keep you up-to-date with information and skills; and
• Many more features our development team believes will be useful.
The tools you are familiar with are all retained, most with substantial usability upgrades. The content—designed to be Member driven—will fill out in the weeks ahead.
Our new community website, together with the relaunch of Travelworld International Magazine, our expanded and upgraded Annual Conference and the new Awards program, seta a firm foundation for your Association as it steps into its second year with its new management team.
NATJA Foundation. NATJA's not-for-profit educational foundation video taped Bellows' presentation and will make it available for all members after the conference. It's a must-see for all travel journalists!
It will be featured in September on the Professional Development section of the new site.
